KARABO LESESE

“I was born 16 May 1988 in Dilokong hospital at Burgersfort a small town in Limpopo. I started my primary school at mainstream school Mabotsha Primary School.

At the age of 12 when I was in grade 6 it was discovered that I have cataract on my left eye. I went for an operation, unfortunately it couldn’t work. Then at the age of 14 I became blind. It was totally not easy to accept my disability. A year later my mother took me to a special school Siloe School for the Blind, that’s where I completed my primary school in 2005. I matriculated at Filadelfia Secondary School in Soshanguve in 2010. I am a mother of 7 year little boy Bokang Lesese.

In 2015 I registered with Tshwane University of Technology [TUT] to study a National Diploma in Public Management. It is a 3 year course, good enough I completed it within my record time. On the 11th October 2018 I was awarded with my qualification National diploma in Public Management. On the 8th November 2018 I was also awarded with my MICT End User Computing qualification at Guest Resource Services. I’m currently doing my practicals as the marketing assistants at Guest Resource Services.”
