Two blind learners fall into uncovered manhole
19th Dec 2019

29 November 2019 a day to remember, Guest Resources Services took hands with Prinshof School for the blind in the section for severe intellectual needs to make Christmas memorable for the children.

Academy Brushware learners with their facilitator Mr J Venter went to Prinshof School dressed as Santa and his helpers to bring the joy of Christmas to the kids in the form of a sled, singing and the handing of presents.

Business Administration Services NQF 2 Academy Brushware learners assisted with the arrangements of the day and also the handing of presents.

As Santa and his helpers entered with lots of noise and jingling bells, the children (who did not expect this surprise) eagerly waited to see what all the fuss was about. As we came closer, we saw their faces light up with pure joy, and when we started distributing the presents, they were overcome with excitement.

The day started with a Christmas concert by the children with severe intellectual disabilities at the Prinshof School, then it was Guest Resources Services chance to bring joy and Christmas to the children.

I want to make use of this opportunity to thank the staff from Prinshof School for inviting Guest Resources Services. Mrs T Venter and staff went out of their way to make us feel at home.
